Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 August 2026

The short version

This website does not collect personal information about you. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from any third party unless you deliberately choose to load the booking calendar.

The only point at which you give us personal information is when you book a consultation call, and that booking is handled by Google Calendar rather than by this website. This policy explains all of it in full.

Who we are

Custom Software Integrations (trading as CSI) is a business operating in British Columbia, Canada. We are the organisation responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

  • Privacy contact: Customsoftwareint@gmail.com
  • Person responsible for privacy: Caleb Johnson, Co-founder, reachable at the address above. Quebec's Law 25 requires a designated privacy officer with public contact details, and it applies according to where the visitor is located rather than where the business is.
  • Location: British Columbia, Canada. We are a small business operating without a public street address. Written enquiries should be sent to the email address above, and we will provide a mailing address on request where one is legally required.

What we collect, and when

1. Simply visiting this website

Nothing. This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising tools, embeds no social media widgets, and loads its fonts and styles from its own server rather than from a third-party network. No profile is built, and you are not tracked between visits or across sites.

2. Server logs held by our hosting provider

Like any website, requests to this site pass through a hosting provider that may record technical information automatically, typically your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and a timestamp. This is used to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use these logs to identify you.

  • Hosting provider: Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages), which also provides the encrypted connection and protects the site against traffic-based attacks.
  • Log retention: these logs are held by Cloudflare under its own retention schedule, not ours. We do not copy them, export them, or keep our own record of them.

3. Loading the booking calendar

Our booking section does not load anything from Google when the page opens. It shows a placeholder with a button instead. If, and only if, you press that button, your browser then connects to Google Calendar, and at that point Google receives your IP address and may set cookies on your device under its own privacy policy.

This is why the button exists: so that contact with Google is your choice rather than something that happens to you on arrival. If you never press it, your browser never contacts Google. Your choice is not recorded or remembered, so each visit starts fresh.

4. Booking a consultation call

If you book a call, the information you enter into the booking form — typically your name, your email address, and anything you write in the notes — is collected by Google through its appointment scheduling service and appears in our Google Calendar. We use it only to hold and prepare for the call you asked for.

5. Emailing us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it to reply to you. Our email is provided by Google (Gmail).

Why we collect it

  • To schedule, prepare for, and attend the consultation call you requested.
  • To reply to an enquiry you sent us.
  • To keep the website available and protect it against abuse.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for advertising. We do not use it to build profiles, and we do not use it for marketing email unless you have separately and expressly asked us to.

Consent, and how to withdraw it

We rely on your express consent, given by the act of booking a call, emailing us, or pressing the button that loads the booking calendar. Because nothing non-essential loads or is stored before you act, there is nothing to opt out of when you simply read this site.

You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing Customsoftwareint@gmail.com. Withdrawing consent may mean we cannot hold a scheduled call with you.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no local storage, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or session recording. There is no consent banner because there is nothing that requires consent.

The only exception is entirely under your control: if you press the button that loads the booking calendar, Google may then set its own cookies. Below is the complete inventory of cookies this site sets.

None. This site sets no cookies.

We honour the Global Privacy Control signal by default, in the sense that there is no tracking to disable in the first place.

Who else receives your information

  • Google (Google Calendar, Gmail) — receives and stores your booking details and any email you send. Google acts under its own privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts the site and processes the technical request data described above in order to serve it and defend it against attack.

That is the complete list. There are no analytics providers, advertising networks, customer data platforms, form handlers, or AI vendors receiving information through this website.

Information leaving Canada

Google and Cloudflare are both United States companies, and they may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held outside Canada may be accessible to foreign courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities under the laws of those countries. By booking a call or emailing us, you consent to your information being handled this way.

We are based in British Columbia and do not market to or knowingly serve residents of Quebec. Quebec's Law 25 requires a privacy impact assessment before personal information is communicated outside the province, so if we begin taking on Quebec clients we will complete one before doing so. [VERIFY WITH COUNSEL: confirm this position holds, since Law 25 can be triggered by a visitor's location rather than by where the business operates.]

How long we keep it

  • Booking records in Google Calendar: 24 months from the date of the call, after which the entry and its notes are deleted.
  • Email correspondence: 24 months from our last exchange, unless it forms part of a client record we are required to keep for tax or contractual reasons.
  • Hosting logs: retained by Cloudflare under its own schedule. We hold no copy.

If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law you can ask us to:

  • confirm whether we hold personal information about you, and give you access to it;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete information we no longer need;
  • tell you who we have disclosed it to;
  • provide it in a portable, machine-readable format;
  • withdraw your consent.

Email Customsoftwareint@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. Because the information we hold is limited to bookings and correspondence, most requests are straightforward to fulfil.

How we protect it

The website is served only over an encrypted HTTPS connection and applies a strict content security policy that blocks any code we did not write ourselves. It sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties unless you ask it to. It has no database, no login system, and no administrative area, so there is no account to compromise and no store of customer records attached to it.

Booking information is protected by the security of the Google account it lives in, which is secured with multi-factor authentication. Email correspondence is protected the same way. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of information we hold deliberately small, which is the most effective protection available to us.

Automated decision-making

This website does not profile you and makes no automated decisions about you. Note that this policy covers this website only. If we build an AI system for your business under a separate agreement, that system is governed by that agreement, and any obligation to disclose automated decision-making sits with you as the operator of it.

Children

This site offers services to businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please email us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to a regulator:

  • Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (federal, PIPEDA)
  • Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (provincial, PIPA)
  • Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, if you are in Quebec

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will say so clearly on this page rather than changing it quietly.
